Thoughts on Mobil oil?

Is that Dexos 1 Gen 1? If so that was made 2010-2014 could be some mighty old stuff?

It’s dexos 1 gen 3 according to the bottle. I’m not sure about the date of that but hey, it’s good enough for at least a vortec 4.8/5.3.


Now if I could just find various filters worth having to pile up on…..

Its getting old hopefully it doesnt take you 10 years to use it.. otherwise-
IMO: its not any worse than supertech, kirkland etc.

Edit: are you sure its dexos1gen3? I have only seen it Gen 1 or gen 2.
If its d1g3 its not that old.

Wow! Very well done at $1.25. The best price I've seen for this locally is $6.99.

My Kia dealer uses Mobil Super Synthetic as their bulk synth oil. Judging by the PDS information, it's likely the same oil as Mobil Full Synthetic. I've been using the Full Synth to top off my Super Synth fills.

Some oil blenders say oil is good for 5 years from production date if unopened. So there’s that.

5 years wouldnt worry me.
10 years plus esp. if stored in a non climate controlled garage or shed would start to bother me.
