Thoughts on 5W-40 for a turbo engine

I agree with others than in a turbo application, a 5w-40 can make sense.

Of course, if you're going to use 5w30, you chose a good one.


Thank Ayrton, I'll check it out, perhaps that would be a good choice for for the summer.

I appreciate everyone's input, I've had good luck with Pennzoil Ultra 5w30, my engine seems to like it as far as I can tell.

It usually is, but I have heard that in Canada, there is Shell RT6 0w40 as well.

But every RT6 I have seen in the USA is 5w40. It is a great oil.
