Those with 150,000 miles or more, check in

Just sold my highest mile Odyssey: 185k miles. I only have 3 left. Sad to see it go, but life goes on.

Do you follow Honda’s Oil life computer?
Yes, always. Will continue to follow it.

On the Fit, it’s been telling me to change between 8,000 miles ( when only used for city driving in the past ) to 12,000 miles ( my long distance work commuter car ).

Some people will say following the oil life monitor is why it’s now consuming oil, but I doubt it. It doesn’t have fuel dilution issues ( if it did, I would change it more often ).

Some cars just start consuming oil as they rack up miles ( but not checking the oil will guarantee you burn even more oil, or need a new engine ).

2012 Civic ( also follow oil life ) …..I never have to add oil and it has over 300,000 miles.

Two different engines.

Honda technician just told me that even older , non GDI engines can have oil consumption issues ( CRV ) from his experience.

A used car dealer in Mt. Clemens Mi only buys & sells used Jeep Renegades. Every color imaginable and some of those have bright colors. Many times I'll drive by in the school bus and see 20-25 parked there. He gets a huge turnover and has been selling this model for at least three years now.

2010 Honda Element SC, bought new by us, 253K miles and as reliable as the Earth's rotation.

2017.5 Jeep Compass Trailhawk, 210,000. Does not burn or leak a drop of oil, so I'm just going to keep driving it until it quits.
Oh heck yes, keep that thing going till it blows up! And if you maintain it, and it sounds like you do, why can’t that thing hit 350,000 or more?

1996 Jeep Cherokee 4.0 Six. 155K miles. Oil changes usually less than 4K miles every 6 mos. Wix filters. M1 5w-30. Recently PP 5W-30

Awesome!!!
Who said american iron doesn't last? Police officers abuse their vehicles pretty badly....they idle their vehicles relentlessly.....that thing most likely has twice as many miles if you go by hours!
I'll be happy if I can get 100-120k miles from my LS1......I don't see why it couldn't.

Buddy of mine has a Silverado with the 5.3 that has 350,000 miles on whatever oil the fast change place uses. It has been running with bad knock sensors for years and needs an oil pickup O ring, so knocking and has low oil pressure but still going strong.
