Those with 150,000 miles or more, check in

266k miles - 2006 Accord K24 6AT

Most of its life has been 6k-7.5k mi OCI with M1 20wt and filters being Mobil 1 or OG Fram Ultra. Will be switching to Fram Endurance next.

6AT drain and fill (replaces 3 of the 7qts) every 15-30k miles with Honda DW-1.

The only issues I’ve had were an 02 sensor crapped out on me, a $1 O-ring for the power steering pump, and I had to replace the starter at 197k miles.

Everything else has been basic maintenance: fluids, filters, brake rotors/pads, tires, alignments, spark plugs, serp belts, and 1 tensioner. Will probably have to do struts in the next year or so. Edit: AC clutch has recently started squeaking. So, I’ll probably address that before Texas summer heat sets in.

Average about 26mpg city and 32mpg highway. But, recently got 37mpg on a 350 mile, 100% highway trip calculated at the pump.

Hoping to keep this one as my mule for many years.

That is a good-looking rig. The 5.0 has treated you well, eh?
Thank you! The Ruby Red Metallic has been my favorite color to keep clean out of all the trucks I have had.

Overall, the 5.0 has done great. Have had some minor issues that I could fix in the driveway and one that my warranty took care of (Water Pump). There is still a noise it makes that I would consider un-diagnosed, but it did get me a new transmission at 116K under warranty. Noise happens under some very specific driving circumstances still, so I just drive in a way to avoid those since we know it's not the trans. Plan to keep trucking it for the long-haul at the moment, but could change if certain $$$ parts fail that aren't under warranty anymore, LOL.

Justa reading random posts, not even close to all, seems to be very few posts of ford products. Is this just my perception, or do others see this same trend. Asking because I am considering buying a f150 2.7l ecoboost. Tend to hold my vehicles to 150k plus miles unless I have issues. I have had several gm vehicles to 200k plus on extended drains (7-10k) always with full synthetic oils and quality filters.
What are you seeing as trends from this thread? Thanks

Have a 98 F150 with 200k+ and an 04 3L Escape with 160k. No mechanical issues with either but I would not buy anything with DI today....from any manufacturer.

I have a buddy that is a regional sales guy for Sunbelt Rentals. He is on his second F150 with the 2.7L. He took the first one to 170K with no major issues and he got another one because he liked it so much. Got rid of the first only because it was his turn to get a new vehicle. If he towed more he would get the 3.5L Eco, but he's mainly highway driving.

My 2010 Yaris 1nzfe currently has 192k saw M1 0w20 and M1 filter at 1500miles for its OCI. Changed again at 7500. 15k I switched to Amsoil SS and Amsoil filter and went to 25k, did analysis, had room to go so the next OCI I took to 40k for a 15k interval. Proceeded to do 15k intervals until around 140k or so then my commute went from about 36k a year to about 6k. So I started using SuperTech 0w20 and FUGs...OC at 5k, filter every 20k.

I did try ST 5w30 for one OCI. Also I a PUP 0w20 found its way thru at some point.

Currently I have ST HM 0w20 with some HPL cleaner and Champ XL filters. Going to run for around 1k and pull the filter. Maybe eventually switch to full HPL and push intervals to 10k I dunno. Obviously 1nz will just keep going on **** near anything as long as its changed but I kinda want the best for it.

This thread’s so old I can’t recall if I’ve posted here:

Essentially trouble free. I’ve spent about $100 on a non-consumable item: a CPU fan. All other expenses were items like tires, battery, lights, filters, and ….. drum roll ….. oil.

I put 209,900 miles on a’98 wind star before I decided to get a different vehicle.

Presently at 173,000 on a 2013 Durango 3.6 Pentastar and a 5 speed. The engine lives on Pennzoil Platinum every 5k and other than a thermostat has needed no repairs and has never used any oil. Tranny and Diff have been trouble free and have been serviced every 75k along with coolant and brake fluid. Replaced brake pads at 100k with OE pads. I have a Mopar Lifetime Max Care service contract so I feel confident continuing racking up miles knowing that most any repair would be covered. Driven sanely it gets 26 mpg on the highway.

At 180k on our 2003 CRV. It's had a few things replaced over the years, mostly by my MIL. I've done an alternator and getting ready for a replacement camshaft, although I need to check the timing chain first and make sure it's not badly stretched (not sure what I will do if that is the case). Waiting first to make sure it passes annual safety inspection, that's this week, then I can go cam shopping.

Our 2001 Windstar had about 155,000 before we sold it. Never had any engine (3.8) or trans problems but the rear axle had a couple of recalls due to them breaking. Rust was starting to form on the tailgate seams after about 10 years. It was a decent vehicle and was fairly simple to work on. I think the only major issue was the 2 piece plastic intake broke on a super cold winter startup- I thought something broke internally since it was making a huge racket. Bought a new updated 1 piece intake from eBay for $150 and it took maybe 1 hour to replace.

My 2012 Rav4 is closing in on 181,000 and so far it's been super reliable. No noticeable oil consumption with 6,000 mile oil changes and so far just light surface rust on the undercarriage. I'm hoping to get at least 250-300K out of it.

My dad's 1987 Saab 9000 Turbo 5 speed has about 157,000 on it now and seems to be running well, although it needs a mass airflow (air?) sensor which is impossible to find an OEM one. It just idles funky until it's warmed up.

I've since traded it in but I had a 2008 Sport Trac, 4.0 V6, that I got new, tried a few different oils and got the best UOA's with Pennzoil Platinum. PP 5w-30 and Motorcraft filter every 5k. I never touched the engine except for spark plugs and put 212,000 miles on it when it blew a head gasket. Burned less than a quart of oil per OCI. I'd already put enough money into it the previous two years so I traded it on a new Ranger.
That engine is known for the timing chains going south after 150k but I never had a problem.

04 Escape has 184k, leaks oil like a sieve. Liqui Moly didn't do anything and it smells worse with it. 02 Focus has 175k, put 1k on since the repair. No idea on the Festiva 230k maybe. Nowdays just run ST 10w30 in everything but the RV. Used to run PP in everything and all seem to leak, too clean or just bad engine designs? No idea.
Escape has 189k on it now and Focus has 183k. I tried Liqui Moly again with both and seemed to stop all oil leaks on both. How long that will last who knows. That post was a little over a year ago yeah we don't put much mileage on.

Oops !!! My age is showing.

Make that 186,700 total mileage, not 176,700, & 70,700 enjoyable miles under my ownership, not 60,700.

Man, time flies when you’re behind the wheel. ;)

At least I got the make, model, and YOM right.

2014 Ford Fusion, 2.0L Ecoboost (a turbo AND direct injection!), 225k as of Monday. Burns at most 1/2 a quart between oil changes, 100 mile/day commute. Bought used in 2015 with 33k on it, only parts changes have been PM.
