The main topic of discussion, the bottle clearly indicates an expiration date, it’s 5 years from the date of production. Does this once and for all answer the question &/or settle the debate of, Does motor oil expire? Clear as day?

I don’t doubt the legitimacy of this brand. Benzol is a company in Germany. This oil is API SP and others.

I wouldn’t trust a single word they EVER say. Why, you ask? This is a 0w16 “API SP” oil which not only claims it meets dexos1 Gen 2… which it can’t, because dexos has NEVER licensed anything from Benzol, nor ever approved a 0w16 oil, but also does not have the API starburst. This company is a complete fraud and there have been threads about Benzol on here before. If you followed the rabbit hole it’s likely they crawled out of the same pond scum as Triax Lubricants did!

Triax, Hardex, Mazlub,Kixx,JTX, Bio Ray, Hi Rev,Mizu to name a few. On another note, Benzol could be made in China.

But he says it's made in Germany, that means it's gotta be good, right?

Yeah that looks sketchy as hell to me.

MODERN DRIVE is a goofy slogan for a motor oil...ask Valvoline.
MODERN DRIVE as the product name, when using obsolete specs is even more goofy; see below:

API SP (Automotive Performance International Service Category SP) was introduced in 2020. It was developed to address the needs of modern engines, particularly those with turbocharging and direct fuel injection, and to provide improved performance and protection for vehicles.

dexos1 Generation 3 began its licensing process on September 1, 2021, and products meeting this specification were required to transition from the previous generation by August 31, 2022.

Meaning, literally the only time period this oil could possibly have been licensed (hint: it never was, according to GM themselves), was between the introduction of dates of API SP and 8/31/2022. That oil isn’t worth the cost of its label, IMO.

Doesn't Benzol sound closer to Pennzoil than Amzoil does?

Surprised there are no lawsuits. Maybe they are little league and Pennzoil doesn't care.
