Thinking of next filter

I would like to contribute to a C&P but I was wondering what next filter to do for my jeep. I was looking around and I have never seen a Donaldson cut open from being used on this site even after searching.

I checked and I have a Donaldson dealer by me so would that be a good option to do? I would plan on running Mobil 1 High Mileage 5w30 for 7/7.5k mile oci. Hearing about the reputation of Donaldson I wouldn't see why that wouldn't be achievable, yes?

The other two filters I was thinking of is:
1. Hastings LF115, I could use a Baldwin B2 but I can get a Hastings closer to me than running the whole way in town to my International Harvester dealer.
2. be a guinea pig and do Purolator PL30001

I'm really leaning towards the Donaldson since I've never seen someone else post about them.

The Hastings and Baldwin are exact clones of each other.

I haven't seen many Mobil 1 filters recently C&P.... Try a M1.

I've already used that. Good. But I want to try new filters and not stick to one or two until I've tried them all

That's why I said I was using a Hastings instead of Baldwin because I can get a Hastings filter right down the road instead of my going all the way in town to a IH dealer

It'd be nice to see a Donaldson cut open but as said above, get on with life....Don't burn fuel just to get a specific filter.

Where in PA is this Donaldson source? ...a IH dealer you say?

Well it's not too far a drive just a 5-8 minute drive. I live in a popular area that is surrounded by farm fields so we have JD, IH, New Holland, Kubota etc etc dealers around. Our IH dealer sells Baldwin.

We also have a Donaldson dealer that is relatively close to me. It's not like this is 30 minute drive so it's not burning fuel.

As far as location of the donaldson dealer near me I don't see why knowing the specific location is going to help you lol

I ran the large Purolator on my 4.0. No issues. Its a big ole' filter compared to stock size for the 4.0. After I ran that once I switched to the motor-craft FL1A filter as its about half the price, and I don't do long drains on the 4.0 anyway.
