I think you man an miniature pinscher, which only looks like a tiny doberman, but is not directly related. My friend Susan has a minpin. A very nervous and hyper little guy. The minpin, not Susan. Friendly but always on edge. Again, the dog, not Susan. Too small do be destructive. Not sure about Susan. A good guard dog, but not a capable fighter when it comes to anything larger than a dachshund.

I live near one of these things and they yap incessantly as I pass by the owner's home when it is outside, it usually leaves their property (at large) and follows me for a couple hundred yards but isn't going to ever bite, but the darn thing is annoying as it walks in the street and drivers will end up paying attention to the dog in the street instead of the pedestrians like me.

No. Contradiction abounds here. Huskies pull sleds in Alaska, they are not indoor dogs at all. They are runners. Clean house and big dog doesn't fit either. The first time you clean a big stinking pile of doo from your carpet, you are going to regret you thought about getting the hound. If you really want a clean indoor hound, you are looking for a Yorkie, not a Husky.

I don't have a dog right now - but I've had several in the past. Dobies are probably my favorite (my ex wife got custody of our Dobie in the divorce). They are extremely smart and loyal, and are fairly low maintenance for such a large dog. Pretty easy to housetrain, and they don't have to be walked a dozen times a day.
Past that, you can't really generalize the breed based on your experiences with one dog. They each have their own personality and their training and treatment when they are young is quite important. If they've been trained to be mean, or mistreated for long, they will reciprocate. If they've been loved and cared for since they were young, they'll be the best companion ever. They can be really really good around kids, but as puppies and young dogs they sometimes don't know their own size and strength.
I like Rottweilers too - they are about as loyal, but I think they have the ability to be more independent.
Just remember, picking the right breed is just a starting point. Dogs each have their own personalities and temperaments, so it is just as important to find one that you get along with and will fit your lifestyle.

I'd have to go with a BOXER. Probably a male, doesn't shed, clean like a cat, calm indoors, very sweet, strong, hardly barks, loyal, playful etc. My brother adopted him from a rescue when he was 9mos. A military guy was the first owner and under negatives it said, none. Regarding the paperwork he filled out on the questionnaire. This is how most of them are:
