How can you tell? Could be beardo-on-the-right's five-year old with Hutchinson-Gilford Progeria Syndrome.

Fact not fiction please.

There are more outfits in this world with many hundreds of thousands of miles that have run non-syn oil than there are that have.

How did this happen?

I have to agree with Bill in Utah. My brother is non-technical, numerous 10k mile OCIs and never kept records, uses cheapest dino on the shelf. He has a 1983 (I believe) ford ranger with 300k miles on it. Original engine!

I use an expensive synthetic (Motul e-tech) but only have 40k miles on my VW W8. I use it for piece of mind and the hopes all the hype is true, lol.
