Reminded me of the scene in "Do the Right Thing," where Frank Vincent drives the convertible Coupe DeVille through the hydrant and is soaked.

"There’s gonna be a lot of f***** trouble if you get this car wet!"

#compromise

I drove through, what could I do....

Ha, that's beautiful compared to the 7 series a couple generations or so ago with the horrible trunk/rear design.
I liked the E65 which is probably the one you're referring to. When they had the Susan Komen drives, I got the Alpina B7 which unfortunately for me, is still the only 500 HP or higher car I've ever driven. I think it all went downhill with the launch of the 2008. I remember the product manager saying, "There are those of you in this room who own a 7, and those of you, who will." Then the ooohs and aaaahs as the cover was pulled off. I test drove one for the $100 gift card.

Highland Ave and the 51!

The rear bumper cover looks a little too bulky but otherwise I don't think it's too bad.
the roundel is disproportionate imho by historical standards. I don't know the reasoning, but BMW has always seemed to lag in taillight design (very late to adopt LED seemingly reserved for the LCI models), making up for it in performance. Not sure if it's remotely true today.

Yes, looking them up that is the one. The rear deck came from a different car but was kinda sorta close enough they used it anyway even though it looked awkward and ill-fitting. The prior generation E38, not L version, is possibly the best looking modern car they've ever made.

Old Dodge Power Wagon, If that were my truck I'd have to call myself Scrotus or something similar.

The Japanese vans get really odd American Titles. It's almost like it sounds cool to a Japanese person. Honda acty, Daihatsu mighty boy ( really) Toyota Hi Ace. Can you imagine if USA manufacturers gave our vehicles weird Japanese names? The All-new Ford super samurai Tokyo truck.

There was the Ford Festiva Shogun!

Yeah Jay Leno talked about that and I think owns one. They were really obscure kind of expensive and only what 8-10 were ever built. It's really odd when manufacturers build something but they have no literature on it and most employees are unaware of it. The Mercedes R63 mini van thing in AMG guise was bonkers fast back in the day yet most dealerships were unaware ot existed.
