I typed something in, it found things w/o interrogating me about dates, times, ages, sibling rivalries, cholesterol level and seating position just to return a search.

It's REALLY nice that this works.

Yay.

I always go to Google and type in the search box the following:

site bobistheoilguy.com "Search terms here without quotations"

Example: site bobistheoilguy.com Amsoil SSO UOA

Finds whatever I want all the time.

Punched in "drunken" - works like it should!

drunken

THAT IS SERIOUSLY GOOD NEWS!! Better than mori coming back, sorta.

You know you can use quotes in google to find a phrase. Using a '+' means it has to have what ever it is next to and '-' means it cannot have.
"Some phrase you want to find" +wordmusthave -worddonotwant

I'd say it still sucks!

50 not enough?

If you're looking for a particular item and search for it based on a word, you can get a thousand results back several years! With a 50 item limit, it can go back as little as 3 months.

The search feature SUCKS on this website. I can't find posts from several years back!

It used to say that no matter how many words I put in there. Quotes + ..you name it. Just to test how it works now, I just put in the word downtime while setting the date limits ..and found the thread I was looking for right away.

Searches for three and fewer letter words are probably blocked due to the potential to have too many hits. However, one site sponsor tends to name their products with three letter codes.
