Interesting site. Good discussions by some of the self-proclaimed safety gurus after the articles are published. But those comments are insightful and a good additional angle.
The most interesting was the fingerprint sensor and pleading the fifth... Hadnt thought of that really... Then again, fingerprint sensors on wifi enabled devices have been around a long while. I must have had one since around 2004 in my high end IBM Thinkpad.

I had a Thinkpad with a fingerprint scanner from late 2006. The fingerprint scanner was very inaccurate. I scanned my index finger ... and all 10 of mine would work along with most of my friends ...

A while back the guy who has that website The Safe Mac did some testing. I have no idea how accurate his testing was but the guy really seems to be smart and he has even submitted samples of malware to Apple. But anyway the free Sophos antivirus for Mac tested the best. Eset antivirus for Mac was second.
At the Apple App site however just some virus scanners are available, some you have to pay for and some free. As far as I know there are no antivirus programs available through the Apple App site. The virus scanners available just scan and do not run continuously like a typical antivirus program.
