I do apologize as this has been discussed before but there are so many different directives that before I bite the bullet can I ask you on my opinions please. Audi Australia have no bloody idea so here I go.
Front diff VSG 75w90 Ravenol
Rear diff VSG. 75w 90 Ravenol
Transfer case AWD-TOR Ravenol

I am hoping these are right as at least the distributor states all good three different Audi dealers all quoted different oils.
Hope someone can help I just don’t want to do any damage.
Regards paul

Thankyou for the reply
Go what oil recommendations the owner's manaul says.
hi there apologies for not replying straight up.
Checked the manual and there is nothing in there at all dealing with the drive line.
It seems that I may have hit a hurdle on the rear differential when stating VSG 75w 90.
It now looks like 75w-85 LS.
Any idea if I’m on the right track?

They’re probably designated “Lifetime fluids”, the reason nothing is listed in the manual. However, they should be listed in the “specifications “ section in the back which list spark plug type etc.

Unfortunately nothing in the manual anywhere. No specifications tab.

@Pablo may be able to help you. He helped me with Amsoil gear oil for my application.

I checked the Redline oil site. The SQ7 is not listed, but the SQ5 is listed. If, big if, the drivelines of the two cars are the same, Redline recommends:
- D6 ATF for the transmission
- 75W90 GL5 for the transfer case
- D6 ATF for the final drive front
- MT-LV 70W/75W GL-4 Gear Oil for the Differential Hydraulic Clutch Control System Fluid.

Such a bummer! It’s a way for a manufacturer to control the car owner after a sale. However the manufacturer knows that most of those buying new Audi’s (BMW, Mercedes) leases it and the car never get past 30k, then it’s traded for next lease. So those buying a used off lease car have to guess at fluids or go to the dealer.
