The Quest for G-05

That's what my NAPA charges for G-05, $10.49/gal and they always have it in stock. They also have Peak Global which is really hard to find. And they have the rest of the Zerex line- Green and Zerex AVF.

Is that full strength or 50/50 ?

That's the price for full-strength my Napa charges. They don't carry G-05 in premix that I've seen.

Both my area NAPA and Carquest braches stock Zerex G-05, as well as the Mercedes-branded version in the white jug.

All the big chains that used to carry it, like Pep Boys and AutoZone, stopped a long time ago. CSK had it in some stores, dropped it, then brought it back. It's probably gone again, though.

I've seen the premix version at a local hardware store that also stocks a good selection of Valvoline/Zerex product.

I have a NAPA and Carquest store a block apart. Both carry G-05, but NAPA is a buck or two cheaper. This NAPA has a 5 day return policy so G-05 is the only thing I buy there. I thought I read awhile ago that John Deere dealers had it also, not sure it was called G-05.

Make that $10 for 1/2 gal of water

Ouch, that's going to leave a mark. And to think, I used to teach math.

Premix would be OK for topping radiators or radiator drain and fills if it were priced 1/2 of concentrate and maybe a $1 or $2 extra at most. But usually it is only a $1 or $2 less than concetrate and not a very good value for the convienence.

I spotted that error right away when you posted but i knew what you meant, people are to quick on this site to be Mr. Spell check and Mrs grammar.

G-05 is definitely a hard item to find where I live as well.

I really don't understand why Zerex doesn't attempt to market this stuff, if they have I've never seen any evidence to date...

I agree..... Zerex you are losing big time market share and profits!

The only coolant can be found at any auto parts stores and WM are Prestone and Peak all makes all models. Zerex G-05 and Peak Global are hard to find.
