The press needs to get these kind of stories correct

Agree, this is something you don't want to screw up. Morons....

Nothing like some Spring yellow journalism to get the circulation up. Lousy Newsweak.

If I expressed how I truly feel about this Newsweek lie, I would get banned from Bitog for life. 17 dead and our nation dishonored? Got a rope? It's truly criminal and should warrant prosecution in a time of war.
I'm done!

It's so strange with the lazy a$$ USA press. If it's anti-USA they can't wait to play it for what it's worth. If we actually do something right, IF it ever shows up for the world, it'll be weeks later.

The left says "what bias?"....well I guess since they are the puppeteers, a bias would not be noticed, or worth recognizing.

Now, I don't believe the USA press is controlled by any evil third party or anything, but the admitted bias, upbringing, voting tilt and inbred liberal education of our press members is in need of balance badly.

I have liberal and conservative views, like most Americans, but it's clear that the media has a liberal bias. However, my European co-workers would say it's not liberal enough.

Even if something as terrible as the handlings of a holy book were true, I would question during such times to make such a report. Call it wisdom. Call it fear.

Terrible!

Ultimately the news organizations that report false news and then get caught doing this sort of thing will be discredited. How much is their integrity of value to them as news people? Without their integrity they are done-it does not matter which way they are trying to slant the news-left or right.

As far as I am concerned CBS News has no integrity. This is my personal opinion that I am entitled to have. Therefore I will not watch CBS News. CBS News does not exist as a news organization as far as I am personally concerned.

Maybe Newsweek can join CBS News. Up to them. I watch FOX News but if I caught them lying to me they would be done as far as I ws concerned. I can always pick somebody else, or even quit watching the news altogether.

A news organization that will lie to the people it is supposed to be serving has no value.

I don't understand the misinformation campaign either. I just want to hear the news of the day. The news is a report on what has happened in the last day so how can I be upset if the news isn't interesting?

Tonight the 1 hour national news report only had 20 minutes of daily info before it got into the documentaries! It is really hard to believe Canada can only produce 20 minutes of news a night. I find it equally frustrating when a national news show fills the time with "video bits" that have absolutely no impact on anybody's life except for the person being filmed.

Things would really change if I were in charge of CTV or CBC.

Mystic,
not defending the misrepresentation of those news networks, but I do beleive that it was Fox who won the right to tell untruths in court.

They are all the same...no story, then make one up, or misrepresent the truth.

Maybe treason? Aiding the enemy in time of war? And let's not let the dolt off that gave them the story.

Perhaps Newsweek's advertisers need to hear from us.

NewsWEAK are really inept for running with a single sourced and unconfirmed anti-US story. Actually, the Pentagon told them the story was bogus before they ran it. It is really despicable.

If you fly in to some Islamic nations with a bible in your luggage, it will be confiscated and destroyed. These losers deserve our contempt.

There is something seriously wrong with a group of people putting a book above human life. Beheadings are okay, but how dare someone damage a book! I'm fed up with placating these bigots. A toilet flushing is appropriate, we just need a bigger toilet.

What we're seeing in the liberal media is sort of a "last act of defiance."

The Dems are all to pieces about the disolution of their power base, and they have simply resorted to biting, kicking, and screaming.

CBS is toast. If Dan Rather's debacle wasn't bad enough, now CBS has done the cut/paste thing in an interview with Kenneth Star, making it appear that he is against stopping the Senate filibusters over the judicial nominations. Star will probably skewer them over what they did, and he well should. So CBS news is swirling in the toilet.

Newsweek, like Time and USA Today are without question liberally biased publications. They put the "liberal spin" on the news. Rush Limbaugh puts conservative spin on the issues--but the difference is that Rush admits what he's doing--the libs continue to say "What bias? What spin?" But they know what they're doing.

So Newsweek simply wanted to hammer the Bush administration, via the Guantanamo thing. The worse they can make things look for the military, the better their chances of getting a "Viet Nam-esque" uprising going inside this country--which might restore them to power in Washington. That's the idea, and intelligent folks see it for what it is.

But it won't work. Individuals with the ability to think have been on to the lib's game for quite some time now.

Anybody like Ken Star for Supreme Court Chief?

Let's do it...

Okay, we've run the gauntlet on media bashing and their incompetent and, ultimately, damaging reporting abilities. We now migrating to beyond our territorial limits here. ...I know it's a hard thing to contain ..but contained it must be, regardless of how we feel about these matters.

By all means, feel free to utilize your buddy list to communicate opinions on these ancillary/sub set issues.
