What we're seeing in the liberal media is sort of a "last act of defiance."
The Dems are all to pieces about the disolution of their power base, and they have simply resorted to biting, kicking, and screaming.
CBS is toast. If Dan Rather's debacle wasn't bad enough, now CBS has done the cut/paste thing in an interview with Kenneth Star, making it appear that he is against stopping the Senate filibusters over the judicial nominations. Star will probably skewer them over what they did, and he well should. So CBS news is swirling in the toilet.
Newsweek, like Time and USA Today are without question liberally biased publications. They put the "liberal spin" on the news. Rush Limbaugh puts conservative spin on the issues--but the difference is that Rush admits what he's doing--the libs continue to say "What bias? What spin?" But they know what they're doing.
So Newsweek simply wanted to hammer the Bush administration, via the Guantanamo thing. The worse they can make things look for the military, the better their chances of getting a "Viet Nam-esque" uprising going inside this country--which might restore them to power in Washington. That's the idea, and intelligent folks see it for what it is.
But it won't work. Individuals with the ability to think have been on to the lib's game for quite some time now.
Anybody like Ken Star for Supreme Court Chief?
Let's do it...
