The ole Buick ,s trans

Hello guy,s .Got a Buick lesabre with a 3800 and 170000 miles on the clock,and would like to do the Auto RX trans cleaning.Would you guy,s recommed flushing(T-tec) this transmission with alot of miles on it or drop the pan&change filter a couple of times,or leave the transmission alone.I just got the car and know nothing of the previous owners maintenance. THANKS
