the OFFICIAL "Advance Auto Parts (AAP) closing" thread ... put ALL deals, rebates, etc here ... (forum rules still apply)

bought 10 Jugs of Chevron Delo 5w40 at $7.95 each on Tuesday, used speed perks, and the jugs were even cheaper...
I took advantage of the same deal... Reading on here that Chevron has a 5 year shelf life so watch the dates on the jugs. I bought 3 gallons and 2 of them have a date of 11/9/17 & 1 jug is dated 9/22/22. They won't be going in my truck but hopefully they'll work for campfire starter.

I've got $50 worth of clearance stuffs in my cart and it'll give me 15% off with WINTER15, but if I try to add $5 speedperks on it boots that discount. It also won't let me use more than one $5 credit at a time.

Nice job AAP. So not "Advanced" anymore.

If you use the app, you can combine speedperks. Up to $20 I believe

Chevron Delo XLE and LE, 5W40 Full Syn CK-4/SN; CJ-4/SM; $7.95/gallon

6 gallons total

East Haven CT

Just tried with the app and same thing; one $5 at a time. Maybe cause they're clearance items.
Use the app and just view your speedperks. Don't go to your cart. While viewing the perks, you can combine them. See my screenshot. Combine is in the middle.

Ironically they were never Advanced, only Advance.

Thx for the promo code winter15. Will try it now. I need wipers. Probably going to get gouged though.

Is that factual or internet lore?
If you open a vehicle in RockAuto and go to the bottom of the parts list and choose "wholesales closeout" there is a ton more stuff than usual. A lot of them are listed as "Famous Brand" which when you search google for that part number it shows up as a "carquest" number. So it seems like more than internet lore.

How exactly its working behind the scenes - who knows. If I had to guess - every industry has wholesalers that do this sort of thing - buy huge lots for pennies on the dollar. My guess is there using RA front end to liquidate what they can.

There are some good deals if you need something - and are OK with Carquest or Dorman stuff?
