the OFFICIAL "Advance Auto Parts (AAP) closing" thread ... put ALL deals, rebates, etc here ... (forum rules still apply)

I probably spent over $1,500 on parts/oil/chemicals, etc, but I saved maybe $1,500+ (adjusting for typical AAP markup).

Most of the suspension parts, sensors, filters, etc aren't pictured. This is some of my stash. I got mostly everything from AAP, except Valvoline and Castrol oil, etc.

Mobil 1 T&S was about $2.15/qt!

Check out the vintage oil at my local carquest!

FWIW according to the local AAP rep, M1 T&S is being discontinued so it's marked down at most AAP stores even if they aren't closing. I bought 2 jugs of 0W20 last month for $11.xx each but no others near me have the jugs. Qts are 3.95 each which isn't bad, but its not a great deal cuz I can get supertech jugs for just a little more per qt, regular price. At least for now, before the tariffs...

Edit, I see that the AAP website now lists it at full price!

I got a few of these locally before but now no place has it….

It’s showing as $39+ by me in stock… I guess it’s only lower for stores closing? They just opened another asap near me recently, so…

Not sure. I checked 5 stores in 5 random zip codes across the country and it was the same price locally as it was 1500 miles away. It seems like Advance Auto doesn't have a very robust e-commerce system. For instance, I bought up a bunch of the "clearance" items from stores that were never slated to close. On Slickdeals, the consensus was some of these deals were supposed to be reserved to the closing stores, but accidentally rolled out nationwide. Then some of the deals got rolled back for some people but not everyone. For instance, the M1 Truck & SUV deal redirected to their house label Fram oil for a while, but if you just searched for "Clearance" in the products, and sorted by popularity, it showed up as $11 a gal when they were selling the xw-20 for cheap.

Hmmmm.

Searched in NJ and dc areas and $39.99. So not sure what random areas you’re searching, maybe a vastly diffferent geographical area?

Searching clearance doesn’t give much either. It shows full price oils…

I don't get it either. I tried shopping online and it keeps redirecting to random locations I don't want to shop at despite showing in stock.

No wonder the place is going out of business.

Says it's sold out at mine but it lets me order with free shipping to home with at least $35

It's a game, really. It seems to be completely random when the price changes. The last few days the price here in Michigan has been fluctuating between $10.95 and $8.75 so I picked up a few gallons at $8.75 which covers my OPE for the year. I figured that would be enough oil purchases until I checked the website again only to find the price marked down to $4.35! I ordered three cases shipped to my house for $42! They showed up today, what a deal. I'm not sure if there was a website glitch or not, but this sort of pricing occurrence happened when two of my local stores began their store closing sale.
