The new Bolt in the wild...

actual car content: These things are very space efficient on the inside. The headroom and legroom are better than many much larger vehicles. I'm 6'7" and it's pretty comfortable to sit in. I'm not sure I'd want to sit next to another tall guy in the passenger seat, but it would probably work fine next to my 5'5" wife.

@JoelB What sort of real life range are you seeing and under what kind of driving conditions?
I think I'm in what would be ideal conditions right now for range. Most of my driving is in town, short trips. I would say I'm averaging 4.5 miles/kWh. I haven't charged to 100% since buying it but the car shows 216 miles at 75% battery today.

Definitely wouldn't mistake it for anything but a small Chevrolet for sure.
Honestly across the entire Chevy, GMC, and Cadillac lineup they have been making good looking vehicles, even at low price points (Bolt and Trax) all the way up to really expensive stuff like the Escalade. I'm not in love with how the Buicks look, in fact never have... but that's just my worthless opinion.

I don't think they look bad at all. I just think they all have a look that isn't mistaken for something else.

Ah, if I did buy one, which I won't, it won't be for the looks... Just sayin'.

Just like a Model 3 or Model Y.
Nobody buys them for the looks.
I did. Twice.
I find our Model 3 Performance beautiful. It's far exceeded my expectations.
This is the part of the car you will see unless you spend a whole lotta scratch...

I definitely didn't buy the Y for the looks. I would with the new Y Performance though. I still like my previous body style Y Performance look, it did grow on me eventually.

If I didn't need the extra space I would buy the Model 3. I do think it is the better looking version and I do think it is a good looking car.

I agree that the Model 3 is the better looking of the two although the Model Y does offer a good bit more space.
Either can be bought pretty cheaply used, so my inclination if I take the plunge would be a Model 3.

4.5 is pretty good. I think PG&E's document on some calculation use 3.5 as the reference for the old Bolt and most EVs are between 3.2 to 4.2.

I'm going by what the car is telling me so i can't guarantee accuracy. It has a display that shows mi/kWh and a second display that shows distance traveled and energy used.

This is in town driving, mostly no AC, driven by someone who really likes efficiency.

Agree, very deceiving until you sit in one. You expect to be all crunched up. Some years back we spent a fair amount of time playing around with one (EUV) at the dealer.
When you get out of the car after sitting in it for the first time, it plays a trick on your mind once you get out because it looks so small. But inside it didnt feel that small.

PS, I dont think GM has the intention of keeping this model (BOLT) alive for long. But who knows?

The new Model Y Performance is a looker in some colors. As is the Chevy Blazer EV SS! I’ll take one of each please, and a Cybertruck for my business. Anyone got a winning lottery ticket? Also the newer 3s look good, hence why I have one, but I prefer larger vehicles.
