The new Bolt in the wild...

Is the food court inside or outside? The one 2 blocks from my house is outside.
This one is inside, but there are so many Costcos around here... Some are inside and others are outside.
And people sitting in their cars chomping down on hot dogs and pizza!

Funny thing... We were just in Japan; you go in 1 at a time as they wipe down your cart and hand it to you. Big store, so very clean. Lotsa neat stuff! Much more prepared food to buy.

In many cases, this is true. People like the Costco sales model, because they don't trust or like dealerships. Depending on a vehicle's demand, Costco can be beat. My neighbor's across the street beat Costco on a Honda CR-V EXL. A few phone calls and/or emails can net you a sweet deal.
It really depends on who has the patience, and what is on the lot that isn't moving and they want gone. Back then ex-wife want to custom order something and Costco / Carsdirect are pretty much the only way we can get what we want by ordering and waiting for a few months cheap.

If you want "last year's model" then you have to go shopping all over. I got my left over new car for $5k off MSRP by driving 2 hours out of my way, and the dealer was happy to see it gone after 6 months on the lot. That's not what Costco is for.

I bought my Bolt 3 weeks ago as a first time EV buyer. Looks are subjective of course, but i really don' care how a car looks as long as it does what i need.

My main driving factors were size (the smaller the better) and I liked the LFP battery. Not as energy dense but pretty durable. Loving it so far, no regrets. Noticeably cheaper than any competition in my area. My top trim RS was about $5k cheaper than a base Ioniq 5.

Ioniq 5 is more Chevy Equinox EV territory.
The categorizing on a lot of these is pretty blurry. But my main point is that if you want similar features jumping up to the next size isn't trivial cost-wise. Well not in my opinion.

I liked the Ioniq 5 as well but it was bigger than i wanted, and the only way to get cooled seats and a heated steering wheel was to spend $43k.
