It sounds like you got a bad one--I don't blame you for passing on it. Regarding the blindspot (warning) beeping randomly. . .you didn't say the conditions when that was happening, but my Santa Fe will give blindspot warnings when parked & engine off if it detects cars approaching by the rear or sides (often in parking lots)--this is a warning to you before you exit the vehicle that there may be a hazardous condition outside your car. That's a documented feature. I'm not saying that your's isn't broken though, just saying what it could be.
