The Most Historical And Best Pizzeria In U.S.A! Frank Pepe's

It is very, very good, but living in Massachusetts with its preponderance of Greek style pizza (thick, gooey, greasy, generally bad), it doesn't take much to impress me with a good pie!

One of the rules of life. Never order Italian food made by Greeks.

I had a Pepe's pizza once. It didn't look so good- it was mind blowing great. You will walk away much more than just impressed. Lifetime taste memory.

'Best' is subjective and not much else... personally I don't care the least bit for scorched crust like that, leads to a bitterness most of the time.

Been going to the one in Westmont since it opened. Now that there’s a Tacconelli’s nearby…. Oh the options.
Used to walk to Star Tavern as a kid. Just had pizza Wednesday night at Vic's in Bradley Beach...NJ is a target rich environment when it comes to exceptional pizza.

He said in the video that new customers “sometimes don’t understand”.
When I had Pepe's pizza, I took the pizza out of the box, thought it was burnt. Asked myself what the big deal was about for a burnt, not great looking pizza.

After the first bite- I saw the light. Wow, what a memorable pizza. Just WOW.

Sometimes, things don’t sound good, but then I tell myself that somebody really likes it, so perhaps there’s something to it.

I like to try certain foods “original” and “unmodified”.

Were in a little redneck town about 45 min west of Nashville.

Wish we had an actual italian pizzeria, but the ancestry around these parts is mostly Scots-Irish/English/German.

I like anchovies, but you probably wouldn’t even want to try ordering a pie with anchovies around here, or, in most of the south, for that matter. Just not really a part of the culture - not many people of Italian, Greek, otherwise Mediterranean ancestry around here, historically.

Either they’d look at you like you were gross or crazy, or youd end up with something out of a can that might not be too good!

Nashville proper might have a decent actual Italian-style pizzeria or 2.

You guys have great BBQ though. :)

Don't they call them "Eye Talians" down there?
