You need to be more specific about which Ford and which Mazda.


Mazda3 and Ford Focus.

Also, the Mazda3 gets a higher rating then a Chevy Cobalt.


I think this is because at the time the site was put together, Mazda was still considered part of Ford, hence the reason for some of my questions above.


I'm out of touch. Who owns Mazda now? Or are they by themselves?
 
I think Ford sold off enough of their ownership that Mazda is no longer controlled by Ford.

I don't think Ford ever owned a majority stake. Due to Japanese business rules, I think 34% was enough to control Mazda.

I got supplier pricing for GM and Ford which at the time included Mazda. But since Mazda is no longer under the Ford umbrella, not supplier pricing for me.

No matter, oilBabe chose a Nissan when we bought in December.
