The great hunter for mice

if the cat is overly domesticated and was never taught to hunt and survive, it may just go up there and do nothing. or poop and pee.

all of my cats have always been out door cats that have been raised from wild or semi wild at least. i used to love to see mama cat going out to the woods, catching mice and bringing them to her young and teaching them to hunt. but i digress.

i guess you will have to give it a try and see if you have a hunter or not.

I certainly don't want your pet to get hurt.

in addition if your cat is a mouser and on the loose, they should receive regular veterinary care to check for worms or just be dewormed every so often because vermin carry all kinds of vile stuff.

I gotta say you must have skipped over a few posts .. you seem to be lacking in relevant information.

This thread isn't about putting a cat in an attic? My bad.
