I always just assumed the Blue Ridge Mountains of SC and NC which are less then a 2 hour ride from where I live, never thought about it much more than that.
Like magic the water appears?
 
Sure. Right on top of a fault line. Take your pick!

Sure you can. Point being is ALL of this is overblown to support a narrative.
I am not here to argue about climate change or sea level, I promised the mod not to do that.

I am just telling you that photography is an art to make things look great and it is not a science. Google those vacation spot photo that is actually next to some giant industrial complex or a big dump, you’ll see what I mean.
