I just received my Blackstone UOA on my twin turbo with just 2,212 miles in the last 12 months. No filter change and the only thing added different to the previous year with 2,103 miles over 12 months was 8 ounces of the BREW at 6 months into the cycle. Drained 8 ounces at 6 months and added this and about 1 more ounce of LubeControl at some point in the last 6 months. Crankcase capacity is 4 quarts 20 ounces with the SDF 36 filter.
Most significant change was in lead from 15 ppm to 9 which is a 40% drop, same driving conditions, same mileage same interval. I expected the fuel to be high but it remained the same at .5% and insolubles dropped from .5 to .4. This is the fourth engine I have had the BREW in and so far in all 4 the wear metals have been the best ever. In all four the viscosity has increased and in this last UOA from 60.5@210 last year to 67.1 this year. In all four cases the Amsoil 10W30 (one was a 0W30) has been raised to a high 30W or a low 40W. The other three engines had OCIs of 3000 and two at 11,000 miles.
For me this stuff works. I added 8 ounces with the oil change this time and will add the LubeControl at 1000 mile intervals as the oil level drops which is very very little on this engine.
Also confirms again that Amsoil has increased the Boron level in the 10W30 last year was 9 ppm this year 40 ppm. Similar Boron readings in other recent UOA as well.
