I remember theoildrop from long ago. Then I just checked BITOG off and on for info as a lurker for a long time.

While most enthusiast sites went the way of Facebook, this one has stood the test of time.
I too feel very fortunate to be a part of something that's all encompassing where I learn something every time I log in.
It's a nice mix of personalites and lifestyles that showcases how we're all different but similar at the same time.

Guys, (and gals), Joe, and myself, all have been working to put a flow test together on filters. There has been a few others that have some knowledge of our attempts and have sent us some items to assist in this as well.

Now in an attempt to do such, I want to say we are no where near ready to establish our runs but because of the excitement we have about this, I wanted to show you all what we have done so far and what we have. I am still needing to work out some bugs as the motor appears not to be up to the task fully, but I think this is giving us a peak as to some of the basic...

As previously discussed, We have had many people who feel that a mineral oil cannot produce as good a wear #'s as a synthetic and therefore not do that well in extending drains. My thoughts as many know is that wear protection rely on the additive package more than the base oil. Because some will take and move from a standard mineral based oil and switch to a synthetic, and this produces better results with them, the argument I have with this is that when switching, how many actually are switching brands of oils therefore actually switching complete additive packages.

I had an earlier account I made when I purchased my 2002 ranger new.
I cant remember if they fixed my first account or what happened.

I do remember when Tony owned .. I won some Castrol high mileage and a filter in a contest.

Our records indicate the earliest members joined in 2002.

There was a reset that year and everybody got 2002 or something. I was on it before then.

Also I was required to reset my password and username once, which also changes the date of registration.

It was a database crash, very ugly. That's how I got involved on the technical side of running the site.
