TG 3614 C&P Under 50 hrs use OPE

Mowed today and figured I'd change the oil. Really wanted to take look at that TG..
It was fine and the oil was fine as well.
I easily tore the pleats with very little effort. None were tore in service. The end caps were solid and no delamination. The oil will twist a few tonsils here but it's old and I got it for $10... For Stude a K&N 20k select went on and MPT in...

The tears are simply lightly push against the pleats.. nothing else and it's like thin somewhat wet cardboard to be exact.
I have no more new TGs and I'm not getting more. 50 hrs wasn't a hard test to pass though.

Very good Jim. I Thank You. I have a PENTIUS X-241 to cut and post tomorrow from an older 07’ Focus that saw 9k miles with HPL NO VII 10w20 oil.

What do you gain with a ToughGard over the regular ExtraGard? I guess the filter media is a little better but still the same basic (cheap) construction. Hard pass for me. Thanks for posting!

No it's not Adam ..no wire.
The k&n I think 100 hrs or somewhere near that.
Not cheapness but I want to see how it does..the science you know...

I think the synthetic PG, EG, MG, are tops and I used the k&n as I didn't want to waste a EG S241

Die Hard Fan putting high dollar oil in! I've used Redline 10w30 in a Briggs and Stratton .
