Hey everyone hope your having a good day, was at my local automotive wholesaler today and they recently started carrying this motor oil from a brand called Teton. They have a wide range of these oils from conventional to full synthetic etc.

5 Quarts of full synthetic is selling at $13, so I decided to pick up 2 jugs to see what it's about. Ive been looking online but I have not seen or heard of this brand anywhere.

Should I be skeptical about using it in my vehicles and customer vehicles, or do I have nothing to be worried about?

Im gonna include some pictures of the bottles and boxes the oil comes in. Feedback is appreciated.

I like the clear quarts.....
So it has to be good 😜

Looks like a white box label slap by somebody that doesn't quite understand the approvals (Honda, Acura A/5 B-05 ????) GM dexos1 (no generation), MB 229.3 has a min HTHS of 3.5cP, which is not what you are going to see in an ILSAC RC oil...etc.

So for me, based on that, it's a big nope.

kind of looks like a dealer oil,or quick lube places that advertize a $39.99 oil change with a cheap filter, can find no specs on this stuff,,look else where.

First time I have seen expiration date on oil packaging.

Before anybody tries to correct me, I know the industry standard is 5 year recommended shelf life, just I have not seen it label before that way.

⬆️This. Reminds me of Triax oils, the approvals don’t add up. I’d bet it’s the same blender putting whatever approval on the bottle.
