His spray wax is OK, but IMHO it doesn't produce the most beautiful shine. I'm hoping to by pass all that with either the Insulator wax or the 476s.

I agree with you. I have been doing the machine buff (#3 is usually all I need) with the PC and a coat of Best of show (thin coats or hard to get off!) covered with a coat of the Carnuaba for the last 5 years of so and I get great gloss and protection for about 6 mos. But, depending on what you come up with in your test, I may try another product to see how it does for me.
Oh yeah, Griot's spray wax is nothing to write home about. BUT I LOVE the Speed shine! 10x better than Mequire's or the other over the counter spray wipes.
