Yes, because Accords run 3.5 0-60. We've actually gotten fast more affordable cars available again.

But no, it's an appliance. Keep going. Keep trying to convince yourself. Eventually I might even believe that you believe it. I guess if it made a bit of noise you could let yourself like it a bit.

So is a base 3 series an appliance then? It doesn't have the cool engine, does it? I'm just trying to understand this appliance thing. You know, since you're the expert and are able to deem these things from your BMW branded wand.

That is where you are mistaken, I have no hatred for ev's per se, it is these half arsed mandates they kept pushing here and in Europe mostly. If they were treated like any other car as in buy one if you want one or buy a gas or diesel, your choice then its not a problem.
As it is now these mandates are ruining the car industry especially in Europe. Get rid of tax credits, mandates and I have no problem.
Hopefully it happens very soon.

That is not an indication of quality, etc.
BMW chassis, suspension etc. is same on all models. ALL BMW's are made with M model in mind. M model is tuned differently, has different engine, but basics are the same. For example I have on my BMW M control arms, oil cooler etc.
When you are buying a BMW, you get a from get go a performance product, regardless of the engine.
And 0-60? My SIenna was faster 0-60 than some true sports cars. It is for people that only know how to hold the steering wheel straight.

I forgot you were the expert on quality. What does acceleration have to do with quality anyway? An F Body Camaro is an absolute pile of crap, but it's quick and fun to drive. You're still trying to justify 6 figure vehicles over affordable performance.

I'm glad that the material feels slightly better in a BMW. It's all glorified plastic covered in vinyl with inserts of dead cow. They just skipped the dead cow in the Tesla. Don't get me wrong I like some good dead cow. That was one of the concessions for the price.

Tesla was ALWAYS a vehicle far cheaper made than any BMW, MB, Audi, Lexus, etc. Now, they did have high prices before, but that is also an example of "as long as there is sheep, there will be wool."
BMW M3 price was always in that range over regular models. The thing is, the rest of the cars got super expensive, too.

Quality is not job 1 at Tesla that's for sure. 2024 M3P had oil leak issues at the rear drive motor.

How am I affected? I already drive EVs.

Also it's a state by state thing here and my state doesn't seem to care to ban ICE. They've actually enacted legislation to block any ban that would come up.

Sounds a whole lot like not my problem. Work on your own government and stop badgering me about it.

This is the EV section of the forum. No one is forcing you to participate. Funny thing is, you have a lot to offer but you cant get past yourself.
Oh yeah, there is oil in EVs, right?
Personally I don't spend time in sections that I have little interest in. Why waste my time?

Mandates are not the fault of the product. Start your own thread if you wanna talk about mandates and we can discuss.

The M3P is simply a better car for all but a very small use case.

The Tesla tablet interface is not for everyone. At the very least, it takes getting used to. But I can tell you I do not miss traditional gauges, stalks, dials and buttons one bit.

According to another YouTuber who drives mostly high performance cars on Nürburgring the M3cs is the best daily driver that you can also drive on "The Ring" in stock form So you know what they say about opinions.

Yep. M3s are incredible cars. That YouTuber liked the M3P as well, all except the brakes.
