Terrorist attack in London, soldier killed

Things wearing thin is a good thing.

Teaches us to love each other and stick together, and care about what is important.

The rest of the world can "pound sand".

I hope U.S. and Canada grow back together as a strong family again. We have had some strained times and I hope things get better.

The US and Canada have always been great allies. Simple disputes will never change that. I always make Canadian jokes but in reality Canada is our sister nation. This will never change.

Yes we have some in the US. So why import more? From the 9/11 bombers to the Boston bombers they were granted visas. Some were even renewed after the crimes were committed. The fact remains if they were not in the country they could not have killed all the people on 9/11 and Boston.


Again more simpleton thinking. If you block people from entering the USA our economic status in the world would die. US imports the greatest minds in terms of students and then technical minds at our tech giants. The industry we are amazing at and keeps us afloat cannot be homegrown.

Sucks when some [censored] hole goes to a different country and does bad. Stay in your own country if you have nothing good to contribute. Immigration laws should be alot stiffer.
 
It is a problem when murder simply becomes a popularity contest, and one acts like one's own murders never happened.

In 1972 I saw on television as British soldiers using automatic weapons systematically hunted down and shot to death 13 peaceful, unarmed, Catholic demonstrators in the Bloody Sunday Massacre. Another victim died later. Bloody Sunday touched off decades of strife in Northern Ireland.

After 38 years of denying this atrocity and defaming the families of those killed, Britain admitted that the killings were totally unjustified, yet it still hides the identities of the soldiers involved and refuses compensation to the families. Britain's colonial conduct was horrible. But with the Bloody Sunday incident, that was not centuries ago, but in living memory.

For the killing of the other day therefore, I cannot but help think that Britain brought this on itself.

These killers are fanatics and idiots, but I would be much more sympathetic to Britons if their government paid a clean, honest settlement offer to the families harmed back in 1972.

Exactly. I doubt blocking our enemy from entering would result in our economic status in the world dying.

I was sent an email with reference to this, I found it very shocking!
So much so I got on the phone to a friend that lives close to the area of London.
He claimed no knowledge of any event like that.
So I assume it was (at least 90%) propaganda.

What these two......Guys did seems weird, not your typical Hit and Run attack, quite inefficient/incompetent. It will be interesting to see how this pans out.

The police response of 20 min could be misleading. Years ago my father was in the Police force, stationed actually, in that very area. Having seen service in the military he was also authorized to respond with a firearm if occasion required.
As I understand, in a case such as this, the procedure might be they first quietly secure the area, then position a sniper to take out the target if required.
Hence the time lag.

I'm not sure if the Scout leader lady was brave or stupid?

They committed the crime in the open, and then stood around waiting for a crowd to gather so that they could explain to people why they had done it. They let people take pictures and videos of them covered in blood and explaining themselves. They said it was in retaliation for the Western presence and interference in Muslim countries, and for the deaths of innocent people at Western hands.

This wasn't intended to be a hit-and-run. It was intended to be a fatally violent protest with a very specific message.
