Terrorist attack in London, soldier killed

Terrible stuff, and feel sorry for his life cut short, and his family suffering too. I'll leave it at that.

Besides, I thought appeasement and a little gruffness prior to Nov 2012 to care of all this.

I know it's not related, but 35 years ago I happened to almost get caught in a Terrorist bomb blast, about 50 yards from where this incident occurred. (courtesy, that time, of the IRA)


Funny how karma always bites you in the butt since Boston was the biggest IRA fund raiser.

What happens is the result of a broken immigration system...they let everyone move to the EU and it's getting crowded with so many Arabs and Moroccans. They have Muslim patrols in London that will tell you you can't walk on that sidewalk cus they say so

You're right. A broken immigration system in the US and the UK that gives visas and citizenship to our enemies. Fine work Washington and Westminster.

We also have enemies within the USA who perform similar heinous acts born to WASP's. Simpleton thinking like yours paints a wide brush across a large set of people when <1% actually do something awful.

You had to change RBOT oil testing to RPVOT, all in the name of political correctness...and we all went along with it.

Yes we have some in the US. So why import more? From the 9/11 bombers to the Boston bombers they were granted visas. Some were even renewed after the crimes were committed. The fact remains if they were not in the country they could not have killed all the people on 9/11 and Boston.

That'd be you're, not your.

Also, "not allowed" implies there is some kind of rule. Who made that rule? Who enforces it? Maybe your news anchor simply didn't know whether it was a terror attack or a random senseless murder, and so he/she used neutral language.

By the way, I've heard this called a terrorist attack plenty of times. The news report I saw talked about how the perpetrators stuck around and calmly explained their crime and motives to bystanders until they were arrested, and those motives clearly showed this to be what we would consider a terror attack.
 
I guess the police response time was almost 20 minutes...

To be honest, I am pleased they did not have access to a gun or anything more lethal than some kitchen knives and shears.

If you think you've just made a pro-gun-control point, you lose.

They didn't need a gun to commit a deliberately gruesome act.
But they had one anyway, just in case someone tried to stop them.
They took their time, knowing it was unlikely that anyone nearby was armed.

I'm pretty much neutral on 'gun control', beyond being loathe to give up any constitutional protections without a full amendment. But this is a case that shows that having gun control won't fix all of the problem. You don't need a gun to kill, and criminals will still get guns.
