Terrible Flooding

hey TNS,

the folks out here are running out and topping off their gas tanks and buying up all the food like when the hurricane hit Houston. I know I was at walmart! Gas has jumped six cents since yesterday. It won't stop raining here!!

it's amazing how people are running to the grocery store to get things. Like they really need that bread and milk. Couldn't they wait til tomorrow morning to get all that stuff? Schools are closed. Most people will be late to work...geez.

18.5" is the total at our house so far. Hopefully that's it. 'nuff rain already.

Could have been 25" if we were in the path of the strong storms last night and all that rain early this morning...we miss all of it here. Surreal.

From a Facebook Photo, here's as close to the action as it gets...motorist ON I-24. Wow.

There have been folks posting photos on twitter too. I was looking for photos of the neighborhood of the house I'm in contract to buy. I know one thing, I will not be in a market for a used car anytime soon.

There are still idiots trying to drive through at least 4 feet of water near my apartment. When I went to walmart for food today, there was a honda civic that stalled in it. It's like they see huge SUVs and trucks get through and these cars that are low to the ground think they get through too.
