I was at the local Real Canadian Wholesale store and found 10W30 Tech2000 100% synthetic for less than $6.00 for 4.4l jug(It's normally only sold at Walmart in Canada so I don't know how they ended up with it). I grabbed 4 because I just can't help myself. Any idea how good this stuff is? I think Safety Clean makes it but I don't know how it compares to other name brand syn. I can't decide if I should just use it in the riding mower or what.

That is the store, I got it in Barrie, near the bay across from the Subaru dealer. It used to be a Zehrs store. I think they're trying to compete with Costco. Not sure what they're doing with Walmart stock.

The 5w30 worked great for me through the winter. I expect the 10w-30 should be an excellent summer oil. Here is a UOA I had done on the 5w30 a few months ago.

$20 would be cheap here for synthetic. Store brand synthetic's are sometimes on sale that cheap. Name brands like M1 or Syntec are normally over $30 for a jug ~$8.00 for a qt/l. That's why I grabbed the jugs for less than $6.00, something like 75%off.
Oh woe is me. I went to my local RCWS (for the first time) and they didnt have ANY good oil deals.
I drove over an hour too hoping for that Tech2000 synth oil. *sniffle sniffle*
I'm going to try to stop by tomorrow to see if there is any left. BTW Cdn Tire has GTX HM jugs for 12.99 Saturday only (not Syn though).
They still have some here in Barrie. They had about 20 jugs (4.4l), a couple less now. If anyone wants me to pick a bunch up tomorrow, I'll be driving right by. I'll probably be in the GTA area in the next week or so.
