TCW3 any VOAs

I have a stash of Mercury Quicksilver semi synthetic tcw3 I was going to start using in my gas as a ucl, but my question is the quick silver stuff seems to have a real high moly count hows that going to work will the moly cause issues with cats etc, does anyone have voa of various tcw3 oils, and if running a semi synthetic which one would you use. I dont really want to get into an arguement of the feasibility of using a semi sythetic, just want to know which one you think is best

There isn't any data out there to make a decision as to what's the best TC-W3 for UCL applications.

We can surmise that synthetics, or products with extra detergents/dispersants (XD50, for example) will do a better job of keeping things clean, but that's purely supposition.

The spec tc-w3 is supposed to use additives that don't leave any ash or deposits behind. It's supposed to burn cleanly and sensor safe.

After years of using tcw3 for nearly everything petroleum related and referring countless people at my storage facility to use it, I've come to the conclusion that if you regularly add it to the application your using it to, its not worth (imo) to buy synthetic stuff.

I only say this, cause I've seen the varnish WalMart tcw3 has removed from my motorcycle carb bowl over the course of a year and I only burn ~10gallons a month through her.

I recently skipped a few does of tcw3 to my f150 and yesterday I had to go dump some back in. My idle got shivery, start ups were longer and the motor raced to 1600rpm at cold starts, held at 1450for 30seconds ish longer then usual.

I like to take note of these things on a daily basis, and when the rattle in the dash comes back after a year of using tcw3 every tank after 2days of driving her without it, and leaves the same day I re-ad it back in, im convinced tcw3 helps something inside my triton motor.

the reason I ask is the big stash of quick silver semi synthetic I have has a voa on here and the moly on it is quite high compared to the other voa on here of Pennzoil semi synthetic. So I was worried about cat poisoning I know its said its a mute point and I believe that. But with the high content of moly I was just trying to decide if that would indeed fully burn off. I understand the blend may be overkill but I have gallons upon gallons upon gallons of either quick silver synthetic blend tcw3 or Evinrude super premium synthetic blend tcw3, trying to decide which to use for my 2 cycle and which to use in my gas for my vehicles

As alluded to earlier, there isn't any data out there by which to make a definitive statement as to which product is superior.

Why not run both in each application, see if you can find any difference, and report back?
