Their website states a life of 100,000 miles for the oil filter. Is this a valid claim? I wouldn't let it go that long. But would it last longer than the average filter in anyone's experience- maybe 15-20K?

I personally don't believe synlube oil claims, so I wouldn't also believe their filter claims. I've heard of the style of filter but not for 100k miles of use.
There is a lot of discussion and mysteries behind Synlube. You can google up a big long 30 page thread on a certain forum where it goes back and forth. The owner of Synlube has a very bad habit of finding these threads, jumping into them and being a bit on the unpleasant side.
But again, I wouldn't trust them.
