Congestive heart failure? Bring it on. That would solve all my problems. For some reason, I'm destined to stay alive and suffer.

The underlying problem is 4 veins deep in the leg that are clogged up. Clogged up with what exactly I'm not sure.

Last thing you need is that to become unclogged and end up in your lung or brain.

Get a second opinion from another doctor.

How old are you ?

My neighbor had a similar issue. Around 60 years old. He was trying to work full time at Lowes. Always on his feet. His leg would swell and get numb. The doctor gave him a choice of prescription drugs ( I don't know which) or cut back to part time. Basically he was too old to be on his feet full time. He now works part time at Sam's club and has a heart pacemaker. Some of the swelling was the result of a heart issue.
