Supertech filter with plastic film sealing - nice!

Latest Supertechs for Toyota V6 came in the usual carton but with plastic film adhered to the open end, a nice touch. Have not seen this previously.
 
Doesn’t sound good for Fram, but it is good for consumers as the ST in that size especially, probably all have the adbv not sealing. Assuming the plastic cover means made somewhere in Asia. I still haven’t returned the ST I bought. Adbv does not cover the holes, sometimes it’s hard to see by eye until one knows what to look for.
 
How much do you save when purchasing a Super tech oil filter, in general?
Depends on the SKU of each filter and what you are comparing it against. I have seen 50 cents to a couple of dollars when compared to the equivalent FRAM Extra Guard cross reference.

Thanks. I always splurge and pick up a name brand (Mobil1) and was curious, I didn't know
