ExxonMobil Mgr to ExxonMobil CEO -

Mgr: "Sir, the Exxon Valdez has just sunk."

CEO: "What was on it, SuperSyn or our shipment from Warren?"

Mgr: "SuperSyn sir."

CEO: "Whew!"

Well this is a pretty worthless thread so far.

In regards to supertech's cleaning abilities? Expect the same results as you would with most other pcmo's on the market. They'll do a great job of keeping things clean, but do not expect them to be able to clean up any varnish or sludge.

In regards to who makes supertech, from what i understand it varies, there is no one company. Warren Distribution is one of them.

sxg6,

Therein lies the question - has ANY oil shown abilities at cleaning varnish and/or sludge ? There's a lot of discussion on this on BITOG right now - the only "yes" I think I've seen that had "visual data" is Merkava's take on Maxlife.

this will definitely require a retort by Merkava.. come out come out wherever you are..

That makes sense on Delo and Rotella - if it can be done you'd think these would be the candidates.

BTW, I wasn't questioning Merkava on his "visual data", I was honestly just saying his was the only positive report I remember seeing.

I'm not sure what (if any) the reasons are, but it seems like Syntec is just not on BITOGs radar near as much as other oils. Every brand name seems to get ink smeared everywhere around here - but not much on Syntec. Is it just me?

These don't bother me in the least, just a couple of guys trying unsuccessfully to be funny. It's the ones by posters like you that really don't know much about the subject but want the attention so bad that they give their opinions in nearly every topic. You and a handful of habitual posters have turned this place into a joke.

You're right Eric, it's just a "take" since I can't offer any proof; however, I still stand by my testimony of Maxlife being the superpower cape crusader of engine oils.

It is a shame that non GC Syntecs and Syntec Blends aren't discussed more on this forum. They are excellent formulations that work, and UOA's posted in this forum prove it. Most Syntecs are Group III/V blends, while Syntec Blends are Group II/V blends. The GC and Elixion are Group IV/V blends with very potent add pack. Why reach for the cheapest oil on the shelf?

Sounds like the Farrari's Valvoline needs to be upgraded to a SOPUS, Schaeffer or Amsoil product.
