if thats TECH2000 then its made from a a different company than the supertech's here in the states. i could have sworn i have seen the voa's from supertech NOT tech2000 to be very different than what you posted

That's just it - I'm not sure I've seen a bad used oil analysis for SuperTech except one with a coolent leak (and I went way back in a used oil analysis search last nite). And Blackstone made the statement that SuperTech "was about as good as any" (based on used oil analysis). And I don't think all these good used oil analysis were just from Canada.

My 'Vette with the LS2 doesn't use a drop on Mobil 1 5w30. I'm sure the ST is a fine product, and would get the job done in my application. Fact is, it's not on the GM4718m approved list, therefore does not meet warranty requirements. Interesting that SuperTech conventional meets the less stringent GM6094m.
In VOA world Super Tech Synthetic doesn't past muster but somehow in UOA world it always turns out good used oil analysis. Odd coincidence.

My understanding is that brewing an add. pack is more than just numbers. Moly and Zinc are both anti-scuff correct? So perhaps the Zinc is get'n it done for ST.
The trouble is, I only found a few ST used oil analysis past 5k. But for used oil analysis under 5k, the wear metals were often ridiculously low. You could say that the shorter OCI was the cause of this (and it is), BUT in just about every case I remember the values were below the averages for the given miles. Just a great anti-wear oil apparently.

Yeah, I did the same research as you when I first looked at and didn't see too many long used oil analysis. That doesn't bother me though as I like changing my oil frequently. That said, for the same price as regular priced Super Tech synthetic, I can get lots of different "top name brands" for cheaper on sale.

I'm not sure what I'd run if I was in the short OCI camp. I would have to push the learning curve on all the available options, how they were made, what type of used oil analysis they were having. For the most part I only concern myself with the 10k+ OCI oils.
But it looks like ST is doing just fine, but I'd want to know about my alternatives as well. I will say that having ample Moly gives one mental security regardless of the used oil analysis.

I do not see were it is a good value at all. It is $3 a quart basicly a and is not even close to M1 in terms of materials and total package and physical properties. You can now get 5 quart jugs of M1 or PP for $19 or you can get Rotella T Synthetic 5w40 for $12-$14 a gallon. I just do not see where their is any economy to a premium generic line that use's the lowest bidder to fill the order. I know I would not trust WPP to make anything for me that was critical. We have no idea what base stocks are being used and what their charteristics are. We do know that they cannot even pass GM's 4718 standard wich is not that tough to meet as every name brand OTC synthetic I can think of pass's it with ease.
