ST with a little leaf spring leak is probably sill more efficient than the Toyota OEM.The Supertech is made by Champ Labs and can suffer from some leaf spring stamping problems. I’d prefer the OEM out of these two. Just my opinion.

It wouldn’t surprise me.ST with a little leaf spring leak is probably sill more efficient than the Toyota OEM.
People seem to always get hung up on determining "flow" by visually looking at oil filters. The difference in dP vs flow of the center tube is going to be minor between an Ecore, holes or well formed louvers. Same with base plate inlet holes. Base plates that look to have smaller or less holes don't make a big difference in the dP vs flow of the base plate. The media is the biggest flow restriction in an oil filter. The dP vs flow difference of oil filter assemblies is also small enough to not really matter to a PD oil pump. That's why PD oil pumps are used on engine oiling systems. Thanks, I was more or less wondering about the oil flow in comparison to the factory OE Denso filter to the supertech.
Depends on the dP vs flow of the other components in the filter. The media is the biggest flow restriction. Have to look at the dP vs flow curve of the entire filter assembly. If they’re E-core they will most likely outflow the OE filters
Leaf spring ruffles ahoy.Favorite Champ model number. I cut one open too. Yes, the ruffles are present which is disappointing but for $3xx hard to pass up for my riding mower.
Ecore w/metal endcaps. Love these filters. Excellent quality for $3 filter. They are small. Came off my 1991 John Deere 260 GT 4.9 hours. I had to open up the engine again so short run on this filter.

Of those 3, the new Mobil 1 is best.they make the mp7317 and Walmart.com shows it as in stock, but at $9 you may as well get a wix or m1
I have used several of that exact st filter #. All have been fine.2024 Toyota R4 2.5
Have been an OE filter user, just recently I bought a couple of these Super Tech filters.
In comparison the supertech look very well made internally and on the inlet flow area... pictures shown below.
I should say I do short oil intervals because of my short local around town driving which seems to pollute the oil fairly quickly.
These are very low cost filters at $3.50 a piece.
I'm not looking for an extended oil service filter nor am I even looking for an extended oil service oil.
Just looking here to see if anyone has used these before and what their thoughts are.. thank you

Seems like the same. Fram says USA, no content %. That’s supposed to mean all made in USA. Maybe it says global components somewhere. I posted pics of the pleats next to the Toyota N1 pleats, the PH4967 looks like a toy oil filter. I don’t know if it can work well on like a Toyota 2.5 hybrid when the engine starts singing on acceleration. For some reason Fram decided to copy the Toyota N1 size. Then shrunk the element and put a wide plastic core inside. Plus the bypass seal ruffles no extra charge. In this instance it's the same filter except the orange can has silicone adbv. Fram updated to this ST style recently.
Same efficiency as the Fram 95% @ 20.
It is a small filter.

I know it's been said before but they need to fix that part.

Pretty much the same thing made both made by champion labs.looks like an acdelco filter.
That is what I do. Buy 8 or 10 at a time, along with engine air filters. $3 each for the oil filters, $15 for the engine air filters, with free shipping and no tax. I used Lewis Toyota of Topeka during the winter promotion. The OE ones are about the same price if you buy them from a Southeast Toyota dealership during one of their web promos.
Just recently this one $5.19 a filter.Which oil filters have you found to have best efficiency @≤20 microns?

That one was made almost 3 years ago. The oil filter world is to dynamic to judge today's made filters with ones made nearly 3 years ago.Must be super recent, look at this piece of junk -
Took this filter off the Camry in my sig. It had 7988 miles, and two oil changes. On went another Fram PH4967, and some Castrol 40 grade combo (20w50 conventional & 5w20 Edge). I didn’t cut the filter element off, because I just wanted to see the pleats and the overall condition of the filter at 8K miles. Date code means it was made on October 10, 2022.
Doesn’t look bad for 8000 miles, although honestly I didn’t expect to see the pleat spacing visible in that first pic, and a couple of others as well. I am planning on taking these filters 8-10K miles, and now I’m wondering if I should...
