Super Tech Finally goes SM

ST oil in my area has started showing up in the new SM standard.

The ST here is made by WPP,it is embossed on the bottom of the bottles.

It is a mix of SL and SM in the 10w30 quart bottles.

You mean the SL bottles and SM bottles are mixed on the same shelf? The SL is either older stock, or new stock but using up bottles ordered last year.

The SL and SM are mixed together.

The blue 5qt. jugs are 4.68 at our local Walmart.

SM,GF-4 blue bottles and jugs are here in RI made by Exxon/Mobil also for $4.68 5 quart jug--great buy!

As much as some people like to talk about Wal-mart switching suppliers, selling merchandise, ect, AFAIK Supertech oil and filters have been made by Warren Performance Products and Champion Labs respectively for quite a while now.

In parts of the Northeast they switched in the fall to Exxon/Mobil (blue bottles/jugs) but WPP is still the supplier in other parts of the country. (Champion has been the same oil filter supplier for many years)

Actually it was Specialty Petroleum (the QS buyout) until the SL oils came out. I think that Warren has had a contract with Sears for some time. Unlike Wal-Mart, Sears Spectrum tells you who manufactures it on the bottle.

The silver,synthetic jugs are $11.88 here.

It seems that WPP,Warren Performance Products has been the maker of the ST in my area for some time.

The bottles did change for a very short time a few months ago but they are back to the WPP embossed ones now.
