Sorry if this isn't the right place to post, but I couldn't find one just about oil filters. I went to Walmart the other day and they are getting rid of Super Tech filters. This Walmart also got rid of Motor Craft filters too. In their place is now Purolator filter....I checked on the oil and they still have Super Tech Oil...anyone else's Walmart doing this?

SuperTech is being replaced by Purolator Classics in almost all Walmart stores. Motorcraft is still readily available in my stores. I would be surprised if they are dropping the MC filters--they are very popular.

I don't shop Walmart often, but given what I've seen in regards to Super Tech filter selection thelastbunch of years, I'm not surprised they're dropping them.

We BITOG folk saw the value of them. I don't think too many others did.

Apparently WalMart executive have been reading BITOG and have come around to the fact that the Purolator filters are good...then they went out and made a deal with Purolator for a bulk discount.

To OP: Do you recall the price of the filters when you were in?

Fram and Champion (who makes the Super Tech filters) are now owned by the same company. I assume that selling filters from the same company was some sort of internal competition or some sort of Monopoly so they had to get rid of one brand.

Fram sells well so the Super Tech had to go.
