Hi all,

Based on the positive comments on the forum, I picked up a couple of Super Tech ST3593A (for a Honda Civic) oil filters. Compare to the one I am currently using, a Purolator Premium Plus L14459, the ST is slightly longer, but it also does not appear to have a by-pass valve. Is it of different design or really does not have one? How important is the by-pass valve? I'm think switching back to the Purolator because of this.

Any advise? Thanks

super tech 3593a uses the "clicker" type bypass, and i don't like it.

use ac delco pf1127 instead, it's almost the same filter, except that it has a conventional rubber-sealed bypass valve.
