Really happy with this oil. Especially the TBN. Just wish the viscosity didn't drop.

IMO that drop in viscosity is nothing to be concerned with. You're still in the higher range of 5W-30...

Looks great & Si no longer a problem is even better. That had to be eye popping to see that 180 ppm. The lower viscosity doesn't seem to be affecting anything. Thanks for sharing.

I have a 2012 in line 5 Golf. The last of the dinosaurs. GREAT car. That engine should last a billion miles. I've used mostly Castrol Euro oils w/this car. But last oil change decided to try some of the clearance oil I bought last time @ Advanced Auto. Total Quartz Euro. 5w-40. This was wonderful oil. The engine felt even smoother. My auto mechanic asked why i put in a French oil? He uses Ravenhol oil. I guess it will be awhile before I try this oil though. (I have quite a stash still....thanks BITOG.)

Do you guys think it had the cleaning properties of M1 0W40?
I'd probably switch over to this ST 5W40 in my 2GRFE Toyota if we had it in the states.

Pretty weird huh? Figured that grade would be stocked on the shelf in a warmer climate but I've never seen it.
