M1 ESP X3 0W-40 - 5042 mi - 2010 Mazda 3 2.5

Sample 1 is FS 0W-40 (visc low from residual 0W-20). Sample 2 is ESP X3 0W-40. 5k miles but a lot of idle time and traffic. Looking good, TBN a little low but didn't do VOA so it might start low. Held viscosity really well. Removed unit time because it's wrong.

I believe the Mobil 1 FS 0W-40 is a Full Saps Oil and the ESP X3 0W-40 is a Mid Sap Oil.

I filled it with X4 this time since higher number must be better

Yes, although you can see the ESP X3 is at the very top of C3 limits.

I don't think so, I probably should have but I only had one test kit left on hand. I'm mostly just doing this for fun since a 150k mile Mazda 3 with 2.5 MZR engine doesn't really need Porsche oil either but why not.

I am lol. I bought a 2006 Z4M a couple months ago but I need to do VANOS and rod bearings before I am comfortable driving it much. I will probably order a G87 next year or replace the Mazda with a nicer beater.

The ESP held up great. Looks to have a nice high oxidation level indicating some ester. Thanks
