Virgin samples of oil can have 6-10 or so ppm, not sure where you're seeing 3-5ppm after a UOA. This is another fantastic report from Supertech.

While the first one isn't exactly 3-5, its 7-9 over multiple test samples. I am not saying it's the rule, maybe its the exception. These are just a few examples of the most recent UOA's.
