Super Tech 5w-30, 6,200 miles, Hyundai 3.3L GDI

Virgin samples of oil can have 6-10 or so ppm, not sure where you're seeing 3-5ppm after a UOA. This is another fantastic report from Supertech.

While the first one isn't exactly 3-5, its 7-9 over multiple test samples. I am not saying it's the rule, maybe its the exception. These are just a few examples of the most recent UOA's.

Thanks for this UOA! I have a 2013 Santa Fe XL with the same 3.3L in it. I plan on running a UOA in the spring after the crappy Canadian winter and see how it held up. Current fill is Motul xclean efe 5w-30 with OEM (Mann) filter.

I think this is an excellent uoa. Wear metals are low even with the fuel Dilution that is expected In this engine.
thats a nice run and I think you could make 7500 in warm weather

Hi guys, interesting results. We have a Kia Rio with the 1.6l.

I find that the oil changes to a very dark color quickly....almost like in a diesel engine.
