I never bet on football games because I am usually pretty bad at predicting who will win. Actually this season I think the team that should be going to the Super Bowl from the AFC should have been the San Diego Chargers. It was some kind of aberration that the Patriots were able to win that game.

Anything can happen in the Super Bowl. If it had turned into a Colts-Saints game it probably would be a great offesnive football game. Now that it is a Colts-Bears game it is hard to say. The Bears may roll over the Colts. Or it may be close. Who really knows?

I think the Colts to be able to win the game must be able to protect Manning, must get better on special teams, and must stop the Bears running attack and put pressure on Grossman.

The Bears to be able to win must put pressure on Manning and have to be able to run the football and have great special teams play.

"The Bears to be able to win must put pressure on Manning and have to be able to run the football and have great special teams play."

Agreed.

Lot of good story lines this year. The Lovie/Dungy story. Manning of course.
The Bears may be the most berated and abused number 1 seed ever. Especially in Chicago.

bears will run all over the colts and keep peyton manning on the bench. expect 3 turnovers from the colts. 2 ints from manning and a fumble. bears 30 colts 17

On paper it should be a win for Colts. The bears need several fumble recovery's to stand a chance. Colts just have too many weapons. Punting, FG's ,RB's , QB, and oh yea defensive ends..Colts Mathis and Freeney Defensive ends can't be overlooked. Colts by 10.

The Colts have a reputation, deserved or not, for being kind of soft. The Bears have a reputation of being hard and tough (deserved). Unless the Colts can step up to the plate and play really good I feel the Bears will likely win.

There is an old saying in pro football that the physcial team wins and the finesse team goes home a loser.

If the Bears can run very well on the Colts (quite likely) Grossman will probably look like a good QB for the Bears (which he really is not but the Colts will have to try to stop the run). They could run the clock and keep Manning on the bench.

On defense the Bears are a lot beat up on defense (missing key players) but they still should be able to pressure Manning. Pressure Manning and the Colts offense falls apart. A team that does not pressure Manning gets carved up.

But if the Colts could get a lead it might be a different story. It is kind of hard to play catch up with the Colts. Heck, look at the Patriots-they were way ahead at half time and they still lost, even with a great performance in the second half.

Da Bears. The Oline will beat up the Colts, hopefully the GOOD Grossman will show up. The only key Dline player missing is Tommy Harris, he usually gets double team in the middle, Mike Brown for two years now has been MIA this time of year anyway. We're lookin for presure to come off the the Defensive Ends on Manning, we don't blitz alot but that may change. Ron Rivera was supposted to get one of the head coach jobs but since that didn't happen he'll have afew tricks. Look for our LBs, Urlacher & Briggs to make BIG PLAYS. It's hard to keep pressure on the Colts offense, so hopefully the Special Team play will help us. Turn Overs will help us, thats how we do it. It's kind of quite here in Chi-Town not the same excitement as with the previous sports teams when they were in contention, that will change next week. Right now everybody is in work mode. We're also a second half team, so we can't let the game get outta hand early.

I wonder how many times 'Tank' will get arrested before the game. Hope they don't let him bring any guns down there.

Don't believe the media #@$%!. This is still Illinois, and if you remember (which you don't) Walter Payton was playing with a loaded gun in his restaurant years ago, the gun went off injuring one of his employees, the media quickly washed it away, and Payton was not even charged. Scooty Pippen went to court for having a hand gun in his SUV, Chicago's finest used the N Word as Pip was arrested. The gun charges happen in Gurnee IL., not Cook County. There still is racism here it's more undercover than people will admit to. I'm sure alot of people on this site may have a hand gun in thier homes. Here in Chi-Town where I live (not in the burbs and call it Chicago) it's illegal to own a handgun so there is alot of closet gun owners. The Gurnee PD used the media to help set this up. Go to icarry.org to see what this state is about when it comes to gun ownership. Some people still have the rights to bear arm in defense of life.

It is illegal in Chicago to own a handgun? When I heard on the news that 'Tank' was arrested after guns were found in his house, I said ... 'What?' Thank goodness I live in the West. It is legal to have guns in your house and own guns here. Now you can't carry a concealed weapon unless you have a concealed weapons permit.

Now admittedly 'Tank' might be involved in all kinds of stuff. There was some stuff earlier when I think one of his bodyguards was shot outside of a night club or something like that. But if he lived where I live he never would have been arrested for owning guns or having guns IN HIS HOUSE, unless he was an ex-felon.

You're right in Chicago. Tank does not live in Chicago, he lives in Gurnee. Since he's from Arizona maybe the laws are different. He did not have an Il, F.O.I.D. card nor was the guns registered (I don't think guns have to be here at least). Assult weapons (laws) varies from state to state. Granted he was on probation from 2005 when he was a rook for possession. If I argue with my wife does the police have the right to kick in my doors blow out the windows with the media there? His neighbors complained of yelling taking place in the house, heck the nearest house was 30 yards away. This matter is another case for gun control..

Last line I heard was Colts by 7 1/2. This is good for Bear fans. No respect again. This helped drive them against the Saints, as almost all the experts picked against the Bears

The saints had a good offense like the colt. they got blown out. I believe the saints had #1 ranked offense in the NFL this year too

I would really like to see the Colts win (not that I have anything against the Bears) because I like Peyton Manning and I like the AFC. But I am worried that the Colts will lose.

The Saints were beat by the Bears and the Saints had both an excellent passing game and an excellent running game. Now, the Colts can run the ball, but they mainly depend on the pass. The Bears most likely can manage to pressure Manning and if they do I can't see the Colts offense being very effective.

The Colts surprised me in the playoffs when they were effective on defense (including run defense) against the Kansas City Chiefs and the Baltimore Ravens. They were not quite as effective against the Patriots. If they can't shut down the running attack of the Bears they are in trouble.

The Bears are dangerous on special teams also and the Colts did not do well on special teams in the game against the Patriots.

I have a bad feeling that the Colts will lose. In order to win they must protect Manning, must improve on special teams, and they have to find some way to stop the running game of the Bears. I just don't think they can do it.
